THE WRITER & PUBLISHER

I consider myself a prolific writer. I am a lyricist, poet, script writer, columnist, story teller and non-fiction writer. My writings come from the part of me that wants to help everyone I come across succeed. So I focus more on helping people tap into the depth of their being. Like I mentioned on my homepage the purpose of my life and work is to awaken the intelligence of those who sell themselves short by living less than they ought to.

Check out the collection of E-Books I’ve published and some poems I’ve written:

MY POEMS

1.BEFORE I LEAVE

Before I leave
To Heaven where my soul’s rest shall be
I shall tour the earth’s far ends
To give troubled lives my soothing hands
I shall, the poor, enrich
With the all of me that I have to give
The lacking shall inherit my wealth
To the homeless I shall will my tent
My siblings shall have no cause to mourn
‘Cos time my story shall tell
When I’m gone

Before I leave
I shall sing a song
That will endure till the end
A melody of which shall linger
Long after I’m turned to dust
Forever in the hearts of men
To quell their troubles;
To provide light for their dark struggles
The rhythm of it shall escort my soul
Its echo shall guide me home
Even as the curtain of my life comes
To its glorious close.

2.  IF I LOSE YOU

If I lose you
Would life not be void of meaning?
Would blood not refuse
To flow through my veins?

If I lose you
Would my world not give way?
Would the breath of life
Not from me be taken away?

If I lose you
Would the earth not crumble to nothingness?
Would the drumming of my heart
Not fade to dead silence?

If I lose you
Would love not forfeit its essence?
Would my feet not end its journey
Through the mirage streets of existence?

Would you not rather be
Mine to forever keep
‘Cos if I to the great beyond go
Would the heavens not of my soul
Require of thee?

3. NEW YEAR

The sound fades, of tolling bells
As we glory in the demise
Of a dusky twelve months

Dawn anew yearns for freedom
A bright day craves to break loose
Our wounded hopes
Seek paranormal healing.

4. DISTANT SHORES

Ships that sail in the dark
Carry surrendered souls across
Border lines,
To a land faraway
Beyond where the soles of
Mortal feet can tread

This ship, invisible
Unseen like the wind
Yet the presence is felt
In space and time
Leaving survivors gravely celebrating
Memorials and reminiscences

From this place there is
No return
We await with distant hope
Loved ones that boarded
The mysterious boat
Friends that travelled
In years forgotten

We shall all be passengers
Of that ship that sail in the dark
Kings and fools alike
We shall all be carried across
Border lines
To a land faraway
Beyond where the soles of
Mortal feet can tread.

5.  THE MIRACLE

In the midst of all the noise
All the crazy confusion
I hear a voice so loud
I experience a peace so soothing
Your hand reaches through the crowd
To touch me
Your love passes through all the hate
To reach me

You are that silence in the midst of all
The noise
That solitude that calms my
Desperate soul

You are my stillness in the storm
The miracle I long for.

6.  THE HEALER

Life tosses its merciless whip
To torture our souls
The lethal blades
Cut deep into our skins
Expecting our demise

But we must not give in
We must stand
And live on

Though our backs be broken
We must not bow
Though blood drips
From our deep wounds
We will look unto the healer
For by his stripes are we made whole.

7. PILGRIMAGE

A fleeting experience
The life we live is
Enchanting, but brief
A short walk, yet faraway
From the soul’s final habitation

A tempestuous voyage
The human way is
Elating, yet thorny
A grief-bound ghost ride
Where death only seems escape

As we journey through here and now
Through the rugged and brief
We must all seek our paths
Each must for himself find
The bend that tends to
Life hereafter
For in the depths of our quest
Lies a quiet immortality

8. I AM HERE

Trapped in a debasing quagmire
I lost grip of my being
My soul chained to trivia

I strove, I struggled

I teetered between survival and extinction
And amidst a weakened spirit I stayed
Never letting go
Of my hold on life

I willed myself to live
I sacrificed my pride, my worth
I vowed to be

I swam against the battering tides
I flew against the fiercest winds
I held the fort
I braved the elements
All for my freedom, my liberation

What can I say?
Alas! Here I am
Free to be me

I journeyed through death’s shadows
Waded through the valley of skulls
In a blood-laden quest
For emancipation
Emancipation from them, from me
I am here.
